Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Although not all questions are answered here, I have attempted to answer the frequently asked ones. If you have a specific question, please feel free to contact me
Will someone else be in control of my mind?
No one can control your mind but you. Hypnosis actually allows one to be in more control of their own mind.
Will I give up my free will?
When you’re hypnotized you don’t lose your personality, your free will or your personal strength. Hypnosis is a relaxed state in which suggestions are presented for the outcome for which you desire. You are always free to accept or to not accept those suggestions.
What if I can’t be hypnotized?
Typically, the only people that cannot be hypnotized are those that don’t want to be. Anyone else can easily enter into a state of deep hypnosis with a skilled hypnotist/hypnotherapist
Will I be in any danger?
Hypnosis is generally no more distressing than daydreaming. If you read the medical literature or ask for case studies, you’ll see that hypnosis is no more dangerous than taking an aspirin.
Will I be asleep?
No. Hypnotized subjects are relaxed, yet fully aware and awake. You are free to emerge from hypnosis any time you want. Some people use hypnosis to relax into sleep and awake as they normally do (usually feeling more rested than without hypnosis).
Can I be made to do something I wouldn’t normally do?
You will fully adhere to your usual moral values. Clients don’t say or do anything they wouldn’t normally say or do.
